Reed Rye IPA is a golden IPA with a white-colored head. The aroma is a combination of tropical fruit notes, pine, and citrus. The flavor is a blend of tropical fruit, pine resin, and lemon pith balanced by a slightly bready and spicy malt character. Hop bitterness is assertive and lingers on the palate while the finish is dry.
Named after Reed Elementary School, this beer was the reward for a school fundraiser. Several parents who were able to donate funds to the school were given the opportunity to join Brewmaster Steve Donohue for the day as he brewed this rye IPA.
