Our barrel-aged wild ale pays homage to the agricultural history of the Santa Clara Valley. This beer is 100% fermented with Brettanomyces yeast and aged in wine barrels for over 12 months. The addition of apricots creates a subtle fruitiness to compliment the sourness of this beer. This beer is very refreshing and perfect for a sunny day in the Valley of the Heart’s Delight.
Santa Clara Valley with its scenic beauty, mild climate, and thousands of acres of blooming fruit trees was known as “The Valley of Heart’s Delight”. Prunes were the major crop. Until the 1960s, Santa Clara Valley was the largest fruit production and packing region in the world with 39 canneries.
